Bentonville, Arkansas, is known as the birthplace of the famous Walmart chain. The town is somewhat small in size, but has many touristic attractions, from gorgeous parks to history museums.

One of these beautiful attractions is the Crystal Bridge Museum of American Art, where you can find lovely ponds and peaceful walking trails also. The art presented here is from the colonial period up until contemporary times, and includes paintings and sculptures. Admission is usually free, except when there are special exhibitions.

Hobbs State Park covers an area of 12,055 acres and it is to be found on the shores of Beaver Lake. There are also picnic areas for guests and also classroom spaces and a small retail boutique.

The Scott Family Amazeum is conceived to offer families hands-on experiences. Children under 2 years old are offered free admission, and on Wednesday evening admission is based on donations.

Slaughter Pen Trail is another interesting attraction in Bentonville. This trail was especially created for mountain bikers and it goes for about 20 miles.

The Walmart Museum is yet another interesting place to visit in this region.
